Christmas Eve!

Im 20 years old and I have never been out on Christmas Eve before, I guess I still turn into a little kid at Christmas and want to be chilling at home with a cuppa and some biscuits! But this year, me and my boyfriend decided to go out for a chinese with some friends! And I have to say, it was great fun! Don't want to sound like a total nerd but I was careful with how much I drank because I so didn't want to ruin Christmas day with a hangover from hell!!

I recently bought American Apparel's disco pants in black from ASOS (these can be purchased here), so thought I would give them a test ride on Christmas Eve.

Chubby Stick

I have wondered how Clinque's Chubby Sticks worked for a while now.. Because to be honest they do look rather like crayons!! But fortunately I was lucky enough to receive one for Christmas with this cute little gift case, and I have to say now I am a chubby stick lover - I want one in every colour! They're moisturising (perfect for dry lips in the winter) and it is SO easy to apply, it's just like colouring in your lips.

Clothes Show Live - NEC Birmingham

So on the 9th December me and 2 friends visited the Clothes Show Live at the NEC in Birmingham. I have previously been to the London show a couple of years back now, and I have to say the Birmingham show is enormous!! It was filled with stalls of new up and coming designers and brands as well as fully established brands such as Barry M and Models Own offering great deals on products and goody bags. It also had a catwalk for this year's Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model contestants, they were walking in a number of stunning dresses by Miss Selfridge.

After hours of browsing through all of the different stalls and watching many different demonstrations, we stopped for a spot of lunch and then watched the Suzuki Fashion Show. This was one of the best fashion shows I have seen, not only were there catwalk models, it was filled with talented dancers and performers.

 

I had a great day and it is safe to say I was absolutely cream crackered when I got home! Here's a little snapshot of some of my goodybags...

Kardashian Kollection

People have different views on the Kardashian sisters, but I personally love them! Representing women with real curves as apposed to the size zero; they're always looking so polished and womanly. So when it was released about their new collection with Dorothy Perkins, I was quite exited to see what they had on offer! Now recently I have been looking for a dress to wear to my cousin's wedding in January - yes I know its quite far off from now but by that time all the good dresses might have gone! And its quite hard to find a dress at the moment that isn't short and sleeveless! It's going to be January so the possibility of it being freezing in England is pretty much 100%.

So at the weekend I was browsing the Kardashian Kollection and found a pretty suitable dress! It's a kind of teal colour made from a stretchy fabric, with gold metal detailing on the neck. It's long sleeves and above the knee (more like past the knee on me!) but it looks almost perfect - and a lovely colour, because no one wants to wear black to a wedding!

I've ordered it already before it sells out, so hopefully should arrive by the weekend and I will let you know if it's a yay or nay!!

Trilby Times

The first time I kind of opened my eyes to trilby hats was when I saw Millie Mackintosh from Made in Chelsea sporting a few different ones and I must say, pulling them off quite nicely! So I was shopping today and spotted this black trilby hat in Peacocks for only £6! I had seen a few on ASOS that I had liked but they were around £30, and for something I wasn't sure I'd wear that much I didn't want to spend fortunes.

So what do you guys think?

Chic School Bag

I wasn't looking for a new bag but I was browsing through H&M the other week, and this bright bag caught my eye. It was fluorescent yellow, with real beige suede (sounds like a strange combo but trust me it's cool!). It was quite an impulsive purchase if I'm honest, but it was in the sale from £19.99 down to £10. And now since I've purchased it I have used it every day for uni, it's perfect book/laptop size.

Broaches

Referring back to the oversized gem necklaces and earrings, here's a way of creating that look with a small broach! At the weekend I wore a silver buttoned up shirt from H&M and instead of leaving the neckline plain, I pinned a broach in between the collar. Simple yet effective.

Fluro Jumper

It's finally jumper weather now and I have been looking for a really bright jumper; I've seen a few on people but couldn't seem find one that I really loved until I saw this one in H&M. It's a ribbed knit, bright coral, and the perfect length! AND it was only £17.99; I can't find it on their website however it is still in store!

Here I teamed the jumper with a floral shirt, a light pair of Topshop jeans, loafers from River Island and a cute little envelope necklace from Urban Outfitters.

Purple Crackle

Now I'm usually so bad with biting my nails, but after having false ones on over the summer my nails have grown! (yay!) So I have decided to try my hardest to keep them as they are... I painted them with Barry M 'Pink Flamingo' and used their Barry M purple crackle over the top on one nail. What do ya guys think?

Leather

It has been seen on the catwalks such as Fendi, Givenchy and Valentino, and on celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West; and now it has made it's way onto the high street.

Black gothic luxurious leather is a must have for this Autumn so grab your leather jackets and your leather boots and wear them with style.

The other week I purchased a black leather dress, it was an absolute bargain and you will never guess where I got it from... Ok I will tell you, but keep it a secret (shhhh)... It was only from Primark! I love it, 1. because it was a bargain, 2. its very flattering on my figure and 3. it is so versatile and can dress it in different ways with accessories etc.
