Plaits & Braids

Instead of doing my fashion project and preparing for my end of year exams I decided to do try out hairstyles!

So far all I have mastered is the bog standard plait. I really want to learn how to fishtail plait because I think they look really nice, and they will be a great 'boho' look for the summer - especially after going shopping yesterday and seeing all the amazing summer pieces in the shops already! Very depressing when it is still snowing in April.

I'm off out tonight for dinner so maybe I will practice some styles later!

Conscious Collection is a part of H&M's work towards a more sustainable future in fashion.

The Conscious garments are made from a number of eco-friendly materials such as:

- Organic Cotton: Grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers and has the same high quality as conventional cotton

- Recycled Polyester: The main source for recycled polyester is PET plastic bottles and waste raw material from production, it saves natural resources, saves energy in production and has a lower greenhosue gase emissions and use of chemicals

- Recycled Polyamide: Ideal for jersey, made from textile production waste as well as fishing nets or carpets! It saves natural resources, energy in production and also has low emissions of chemicals.

- Recycled Plastic: Great material for hair accessories and jewellery, as well as the H&M shopping bags.

- Organic Linen: Grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilisters; the result is safer for farmers and has a reduced environmental impact. It has the same quality as regular linen with no use of genetically modified fibres.

- Recycled Cotton: Made from textile remnants, woven and spun into new fabrics.

- Recycled Wool: From worn out woollen garments and remnants of fabric; reduced the use of land and chemicals.

- TENCEL: Silk-like renewable material produced from cellulose with minimal environmental impact.

- Organic Hemp: Can be like linen and cotton.

- Organic Jute: Grown in a sustainable environment and is the same high quality as conventional jute with zero chemical emissions.

Monochrome Courts

I found the perfect pair of monochrome leather court shoes from Kurt Geiger today! They're bang on trend, white pointed court shoe with a black toe cap. The perfect office to night out shoe! 

These are called 'COCO' from KG by Kurt Geiger, £100. Heel height is 11cm/4.5in and also come in all black patent.

Feeling Summery!

Apologies for the lack of blog posts recently, its been pretty manic with university work as well as starting the mammoth task of the job hunt!!

But this evening I was internet browsing because I am craving a shopping trip, it has honestly been too long (withdrawal symptoms are starting to show). I was really looking for anything in particular but came across these nude beauties from Kurt Geiger...
